what a nice and relaxing weekend!

i was able to find some new shoes on my day off on friday - yay for me!! i even snagged a pair of nice brown shoes for $5!!! even bigger yay!!

saturday els and i had our third installment of "day of fun" this was has been titled "the wrath of fun". we went to the ny historical society. saw some awesome tiffany lamps. saw some plaster molds of lincoln. saw an exhibit on some guy's vast collection of apple parers. and learned about slavery in nyc. we then took the bus back to midtown and headed over to grand central to take part in tartan week (aka scottish week) we saw a demonstration from the glenfiddich whiskey people, but sadly, they had no tasting. then after a little info gathering, we headed down to tea & sympathy in the village. had some cream tea, and got to drink it out of the cutest english tea pot. and then we headed home. it was fun. next time, you should totally come with us. don't know where we'd be headed off to, but you can imagine that an obscure museum will be on the agenda. and we'll also suggestioms to...so send 'em in.

today i celebrated easter by going up to connecticut for my neice skyler's 3rd birthday. she is super cute and we had a good time. she totally wasn't into the clothes most people got her, but the easter egg hunt was a big hit! and it was also the first time i got to see my nephew brayden. what a cute and happy little boy. he did like it when i picked him up and then hung him upside down...guess i don't need to hit the gym today!

no big plans for this week...except for ellen's birthday. so if you see her, don't forget to send along the birthday wishes!!!

No tasting? That's crap! What's with the Scottish and not sharing for free?!?!

I want to hit one of the botanical gardens with you peeps! But I think I want to wait until the weather actually agrees with the calendar. It's spring damn it! Act like it!

On the summer agenda is the Circle Line Ferry, riding the Cyclone on Coney Island and seeing the Statue of Liberty. Oh, and Teddy Roosevelt's birthplace.
