ellen and i, being the pop culture power houses that we are, after a night of playing bar trivia, won first prize!!! and what was the prize...4 free tickets to see the wedding singer on broadway. now, i'm not one to turn down free stuff, and neither is ellen - so we go! since we had 4 tickets, we invited el's roomie suzanne along (we couldn't find a 4th, so we had extra leg room!!!) well, we get to the theater and get our free tickets - orchetra. nice! so we walk in, and the nice lady in the asile said, keep going up front to the next station. even nicer! well, we're shown to our seats and we're in the 4th row!!! what luck. too bad i can't say the same thing about the show. the actor's were good, but the show was just bad. except for the lady that plays grandma - she stole the show!

so if you're headed to nyc soon, don't see the wedding singer, unless you're trying to break a record of seeing how many shows you can cram into a visit.

so there is this white car that parks near peter's place, and this car intregiues me. not because of the make of the car - in fact, i don't even recall what it is. or the model, or a fancy interior or nav system. no, what gets me is this car's license plate.....2 TUBA.

why is it 2 TUBA??? did someone already have 1 TUBA?? does 2 TUBA clean tubas??? does s/he play the tuba? are they the 2nd tuba player in the family? is tuba just a nickname? these questions puzzle me everytime i see this car - and believe me, i see it alot.

should i leave a note asking about the origin of 2 TUBA? i am tempted

so i thought i was gonna get to have my apartment all to myself this weekend...but thanks to hurricane ernesto, one roomie's flight has been cancelled and she is staying put. i was looking forward to a rainy weekend where laundry and FINALLY finishing a book was in order. maybe she'll get inspired to go someplace else. i doubt it though.

but on the bright side, peter's roomie is in croatia -so at least we'll have a nice, quiet night
