it's nice to be in demand. after chatting with my favorite munkey, we came to the conclusion that at 27 we're finally IN DEMAND!! and all those years in high school when we weren't the "most popular" ones we were just saving ourselves up....heaven forbid we peak to early. so now, as we've become much wiser, we have since become more attractive to the opposite sex. and it's about damn time!!!

this weekend my bro gets to meet the boy. we'll see how that goes. russ did ask some odd questions - i take that as he's looking out for my well being. i've never had russ meet a boy i've been seeing, so while i'm a little nervous about it, it should be okay, because this boy is no loser!!!

so i went to see heather hates you last night, and they exceeded my expectations, they rocked!!!! (sorry to say my expectations were a little low to begin with, but i hadn't heard any of their music before). els even managed to wrangle me a free t-shirt - so that's a plus. are you gonna be in pittsburgh tonight? because they will be, so check 'em out.

besides my music review, something else happened last night at the pseudo lesbian bar....i ran in to julia roberts! (not THAT julia roberts) at a random bar on a wednesday night on the lower east side, i ran into someone i went to college with. it was really wacky! so for those of you that remember her, she's living in brooklyn and doing freelance work, and she's just as poor as the rest of us (i guess a famous name doesn't always help!!!) in the naked city of millions of people, it just goes to show how sometimes the world can be such a small place!

last night i took a trip to montclair, nj to check out zach brock and the coffee achievers. they were awesome! but i felt really bad for them since my date and i and a few people at the bar were the only people there. it must be disconcerting to play a place and there only be a handful of people. BUT being one of those people in the audience it made it seem like they were playing just for us. i sent jennnnnnnnnnnn to go see zach down in dc over the weekend and she said the place was full and he was awesome as well. so i feel good about that.

so do you know any people who play in bands? have cd's? directed movies? have a gallery showing?? let me know. i'm always on the look out for something new to try, someone new to discover...so let me know. i'll be there

so i've been a little slacking in writing some posts. i told myself that when i started this i would write something everyday (if possible) but you know what, i don't do a lot of things EVERY day. some days i fall into a rut - i guess that's one of the trappings of being "adult" and in the work force. (this isn't a new realization for me, just an outward expression of it).

on the bright side - the other day the 1982 movie "Annie" was on - this being one of my most favorite movies of all time (for some obvious reasons). and don't worry, Punjab did save Annie from being killed by Rooster - and Annie and Daddy Warbucks don't need anything but each other! i love a feel good story.

you know, it's really hard to see what you've missed out on with crappy boyfriends until you go out with a guy who treats you WAY better than those other jerks ever did. for those of you that are interested, date #2 went just as well as the first time. so there will be more dates - which i'm very excited about - and you should be too.

ps - what's better than getting a $160 jacket for $20?? NOTHING!!! i love bargain hunting

the bane of my existence is golf! i have really come to my wits end in watching what can arguably be called one of the worst things in the sporting world that is televised. i know most every sport now a days was made before tv was even a concept.....but golf is really the worst! i find nothing re-deemable about the game. and how good of a "sport" can it be if my grandma likes it because she doesn't have to have the sound on to enjoy it?

and another reason why i don't like golf....phil mickelson has man boobs, and that just disturbs me.

currently i'm in the process of building an ark, so when hoboken floats away, i'll be prepared. now i just need to find two of everything.....does anyone know where i can find 2 hot firemen so i can preserve them for eternity????

i know you're all on pins and needles about how my date went the other night...well i'm here to tell you that it went well. and there will be another date in the next week (our schedules will dictate when that will be).

you never know how people feel about you till you're no longer physically on this earth, and that seems to me to be the worst thing in the world. so i will start by telling you that i appreciate your friendship and that you make my life richer and more enjoyable every day!! without you, i wouldn't be the person i am. so thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

so tonight i will be heading out to the far reaches of the garden state to meet up with a boy. it's funny how it's kind of hard to read someone's intentions/ideas about you, especially when done over email. you lose that point of reference in the person's face. and it's quite hard to tell when one is flirting. BUT to that end, i've made an appointment of sorts (i don't really want to call it a date) and we shall see how the evening works itself out.

It's amazing how life is. A week ago there was much jubiliation in the wolf family.....one week later we have a death in the family....a death that was not unexpected, but a suprise none the less - as death's often are. i do think that my aunt did get the chance to see her family one last time on purpose in complete happiness. the universe isn't as cruel as i sometimes think.

don't let anyone fool you - the lure of $1 draughts are ALWAYS a bad idea - especially if you're like me and cheap beer wrecks havoc on your tummy. though i did find a way to restrain myself from singing some karaoke...which is something i think we should all be grateful for. other than that, getting to met new people is always fun, now i can put some faces to names that i only see in mass emailings. and it's also nice to know that there are some other girls like me who are single and looking to mingle - so watch out, here we come. girls with new attitudes and nothing to lose!!!

just thought i'd up load some more wedding photos....mainly because i look so damn smokin' and my date's not looking to shabby either.....

and as more photos come rolling in from various friends and family, you WILL be forced to look at more...but then again, you love it!!!

The funny thing about getting older, is not that i'm getting wiser, but that i'm slowly losing my inhibitions. i used to think that i was always coming off as being a little too "aggressive". that somewhere along the line, i was absent the day they taught subtlety in charm class. after quite the enlightening drunken conversation with a friend of my brother's i realized that i can go out and get what i want without seeming desperate and overbearing...i hope. so we'll see if my new attitude shift will help me out. no promises. but there is a new funkmeister in your mists, and we'll see what she can do!!!

I'm Back Baby!

so after crashing my hard drive the day i moved in, and then my kindest of kindest roommie's wireless network gone down, i have finally made it back to cyberspace.

so - let's see what's happened in the week or so i've been away......

MY BROTHER GOT MARRIED!!! that's right peeps - it's all true.

the boy whom i now, officialy forever and ever, owe every bit of gratitude my body can muster, will be forever my hero. james alexander zulauf....there are not enough words in the english language i can use to thank you for accompaning me to this past weekends shin ding. i know you had some slight reservations for this week, and i'm glad you had a good time, and found some fun people to hang out with....you are a lego-maniac.

so, back to the wedding....everything went off without a hitch. and in true russ and tara fashion, things were silly. there's nothing more exciting than pulling up a stretch white limo in the middle of the ghetto of boston to run into a liquor store (past the drunks, and under the watchful eye of the barber shop) to get some more much needed champange (only the best can be gotten for less than $10 a bottle!) and a couple of 40's of OE. truly an iconic wedding moment if there ever has been one.

and no after party is complete til you get hotel security to escort your group from room to lobby to outside to conference room. and a night is never complete until you get your life threatened by a jacked bald guy without a shirt on.

so kids...if you're looking for more info, i'll try to fill you in.
