Week One is in the Books
My first week of living in Hoboken has arrived, and so far so good. I am an accomplished parker at the wee hours of the morning. I have just about everything moved in, and i even learned where to throw away the garbage. And another good reason why I left my old place....my old landlord is charging me for the wear on the kitchen floor!!! i scrubbed that floor, and it looks better than it ever did, and yet, she said it looked like it wasn't cleaned at all!!! she IS crazy.
I did encounter one move catasrophe...i successfully crashed the hard drive on my computer. YAY!! so my poor baby is currently up with my brother awaiting the arrival of some new internal organs. And it should be all fixed by Russ' wedding next week. let's hope i don't screw this up again!!

Ah...bachlorette party
there is nothing more exciting than watching your future sister-in-law get really drunk and try to dance with everyperson at a bar.
good times were had by all......

New places, new faces
so I finally got moved in. with the help of some fantastic friends and family members, we got the bulk moved in about 4 hours...not shabby. though i do think now that my fingers will never, ever be nice and smooth again.
moving in to a new place with some new people is quite a bit unnerving. trying to figure out where everything goes in the kitchen has been an adventure. but luckily, so far, i have found where to put most of my things....which, by the way, i have MANY MANY MANY things!! and everytime i feel i've made some headway in putting together my room, more stuff gets loaded onto my bed and floor. how does the universe do that??
well, i'm off to round up some more troops to help me move the refrigerator out of my old place (cuz my ass of a landlord told me i need to get rid of it....why can't i just leave it there??) and then off to boston this weekend to attend my soon-to-be sis-in-law's bachlorette party. i can only imagine what might happen......

So tomorrow i start the big move. Moving to Hoboken is kind of scary for me. Not only does it mean more cash per month, it's like I'm leaving my second home of sorts. My soon to be old neighbors hands down ABSOLUTELY the sweetest, nicest, best people on the face of this planet. I will miss the summer nights of drinking beer on their porch. And i'll even miss the two kids downstairs. I think I heard just about everytime they cried when they were babies, but now they are cute little kids who love to say hi to me.
BUT on the other hand, moving to Hoboken excites me to no end. I will be living with girls - which I haven't lived with since I was in college. And these girls can actually pay their bills - unlike my last roommate. And the other plus is that they are genuinely excited to have me move in - it's nice to feel wanted.
So I am taking this in stride and I see only good things happening for me here on out.
Think good thoughts for me!!!
